Accessibility & Usability Analysis

Expert analysis ensures that low accessibilty of your website isn't damaging your positive image, losing you advertising expenses, or even visitors and customers. Can you be sure that you are not losing visitors to your website before they become real customers? Our accessibility and/or usability audit, will tell you how to make your website fully accessible to visitors with special needs (who can comprise up to 30% of all traffic) and easy to use for everyone, so you do not lose visitors or customers.

What is accessiblity?

The Internet's original premise was to facilitate the sharing of information between people, regardless of boundaries, be they geographic or physiological. Many users of the Internet have severely impaired vision, reduced mobility or conditions such as colour blindness. For them, the ability to browse the Internet using alternative methods is paramount:

  • Text browsers allow visually impaired users to magnify content
  • Audio browsers read out content
  • Websites should allow users to navigate without a mouse in cases where people have limited mobility
  • Any navigation or links should be highlighted using methods visible to those with impaired colour vision

There are many accessibility issues concerning the html code used to build websites. Essentially this means that if you take away all the complex graphics, animations and professional layout on your website, it should still read logically. An established legacy of designing websites with tables for layout means that this is often not the case.

We can offer our help in auditing your website, thereby improving its accessibility and useability in accordance with the guidelines set out by the internet's governing body www.w3c.org.
